Welcome to 5 Moon's Class Page.
We hope you enjoy reading about and looking through some of our pictures of things we’ve done. Do you have any ideas for this page? Why not let your teacher know!
Year 5 visited the London Eye as a part of the core text 'London Eye Mystery'.For the first time, some children used public transport (Great Western Railway to Paddington, Circle Line to Westminster and back the same route). We boarded The London Eye and looked for different human features and landmarks such as Big Ben, St Paul's Cathedral, The Shard, Gherkin, etc.
We then took a river cruise and saw London from a contrasting perspective along the River Thames. We started at Westminster, cruised downstream all the way past the new London Bridge, Shakespeare's Globe, The Shard, HMS Belfast, Tower of London, The Walkie-Talkie, etc up to Tower Bridge. It was a memorable day and a great learning experience, bringing London Geography and a class text to life.
